Chocolate can also be traced back to an agricultural product called cacao. Just like fruits and vegetables, even the same variety of cacao has different tastes and aromas depending on where it is grown (country of origin) and the degree of fermentation after harvest.
Bean to bar chocolate, based on cacao and sugar, expresses a variety of flavors using simple ingredients. The Tokyo Craft Chocolate Market will be held for two days, bringing together people involved in craft manufacturing, focusing on bean to bar chocolate.
In addition to talking with chocolate makers, you can also participate in workshops related to chocolate, live performances that will make the venue even more fun, and enjoy the deep world of chocolate while enjoying the limited edition food and drinks available only on that day.
Tokyo Baked Sweets Market
Perfect as a reward for yourself or as a gift for someone. Sweets that are fun to look at and delicious to eat have the charm of making everyone smile. As a new venture, Farmers Market will hold a market called “Aoyama Amaimono-kai” where such a variety of sweets gather on the fourth weekend of every month!
Participating parties range from fledgling sweets shops to small town sweets shops. There will also be craft items such as coffee, tea, and utensils that will enrich your time with sweets. Farmers Market focuses on farmers and supports producers. Just as farmers express vegetables and fruits as works of art, we will create the Aoyama Amaimono Club together with creators who are particular about materials and manufacturing methods, and incorporate them into expressions such as sweets and crafts.
Tokyo Farmers Market
November offers new harvest rice that is moister and sweeter than at any time of the year. Autumn vegetables like squash, maiitake, oyster mushroom, mizuna, heirloom carrots, lotus root and sweet potatoes are currently available at the market. Find peak ripened autumn fruit from Aomori like apples and pears, Wakayama oranges, persimmon and asian pear from Yamanashi and giant sweet apples from Nagano. This is a wonderful time of year to shop for great farm vegetables and fruit.
Tokyo Knife Store
Kikusumi Tokyo knife shop specializes in small artisan forged knives from major metallurgy areas like Sakai, Echizen, Tosa and Seki Gifu. We recently restocked 2 series from our Sakai craftsman. Silver Ghost and Black Ghost Knife collections are currently available in limited quantities. We also have collections of hammered blades called tsuchime with both Japanese and Western grip handles. Kikusumi knives are often stainless steel making them easy to maintain and sharpen. We have a deep knowledge of cooking and knife skills that we tailor to individual customer needs. It is our mission to improve your daily cooking experience.
Every week we set up a sharpening station for visitors to watch and learn. If you need some tips or lessons we do offer that as well. Everyone is welcome in the friendly market atmosphere where the omotenashi spirit is most alive.
See you at the Aoyama Tokyo Farmers Market this weekend!
