Natur Urushi Chopsticks

NATUR Wood Chopsticks express the original color and grain in its most pure form.  You can enjoy how they change with age over time.   Each  of the chosen tree species have different colors, hardness, weight, texture, and wood grain impressions.

This collection is crafted first in Kyoto to shape the wood chopsticks, then finished carefully by hand processing and painting in our Kulur Lab, Tokyo.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Wash immediately after use, wipe off the water and store it in a well-ventilated place. If the water drains badly, it will cause mold. Do not put it in the dishwasher or dryer.  High-temperature washing in the dishwasher or strong drying in the dryer may cause warping and cracking.  

WAXING

When the wax wears off rub new wax across the choptstick surface and polish with a fine towel.  You can also apply clear oils such as tsubaki or sesame oil at home as substitutes.  It may seem a bit of time-consuming, but once you get used to it, it becomes part of your daily life.  We hope you enjoy the process. We recommend urushi painted chopsticks for those who find the care method too much.  Please choose what you like according to your lifestyle.
